Types of miling machines

1、according to the structure of the points:

(1)desktop milling machine:small for milling equipment,structure and other small parts milling machine.

(2)cantilever type milling machine:head mounted on a cantilever milling machine,bed arranged horizontally,vertically movable that cantilever usually along the side of the columm bed ralis,head along the cantilever rail movement.

(3)ram type milling machine:spindle mounted on the ram of the milling machine,bed level layout,ram can make lateral movement along the saddle arrail.

(4)gantry milling machine:bed level layout connecting both sides of the column and grider gantry milling machine constituted,head mounted on the beams and cloumns,can be moved along the guide ralils,typically the beam can move vertically along the guide column,longitudinally movable along the rali bed.

(5)plane milling machine:milling machine for milling and forming flat surfaces,bed arranged horizontically,usually table longitudinally movement along the rali bed,the spindle can move axially,simple structure,high production efficiency.

(6)copying milling machine:machining the workpiece contour milling,commonly used in processing complicated shape workpiece.

(7)Knee type milling machine:milling machine having a rali bed along the vertical movement of the lift,the lift table is usually installed in table and saddle respectively longitudinal ,lateral moves.

(8)rocker milling machine:arm mounted on top of the bed boddy,the miling head mounted on one end of the rocker arm,and the arm is rotatably moved in a horizontical piane,an angle milling head can swivel on the end face of the milling arm.

(9)bed type milling machine:workbench can not lift,can be used for longitudinal movement, milling or column milling machine can be used for vertical movement along the rali bed.

(10)special milling machine: such as tools milling machine: milling tools for milling mold, high precision machining, machining complex shapes.

2.By the laqyout of the fom and scope of the points：the main ones are milling machine,gantry milling machine,single-cloumn milling machines and miling arm,instrumentation milling machines band other tools.

   Lift milling machine has a universal type,horizontal and vertical,mainly for machining small parts,the most widely.

   Gantry milling machine,including gantry milling and boring miling machine,gantry milling bed and double column milling machines,used for maching large parts.

  Single-column milling machine horizontal moling head can be moved along the guide column,table for longitudinal feed.

  Arm milling maching milling head can move horizontally along the rail boom,boom height can be adjusted along the column guide.

  Single-column milling machine and arm milling machine are used for processing large parts.

  Meter is a small milling machine for processing instruments and other small parts.tool milling machine is mainly used for mould and tool manufacturing,equipped with vertical miling head,universal angel worktable and plugs and other accessories,it also can be for drilling ,boring and sloting machining.

  There are other milling ,keyway miling, cam milling machines,crankshaft milling,rolling milling and square ignot journal milling machines,which are appropriate for the processing and manufacture of special milling workpiece.
